The process
Seven stages,
one patient hand.
From the mountain to your shelf, a Wuli object passes through eleven artisans and roughly forty hours of work. Nothing here is automated.

Quarry sourcing
Our team visits partner quarries in Italy, Greece, Portugal and Sichuan. We hand-select single blocks based on grain, density and how the light falls inside the stone.
Block reading
Each block is photographed on every face. We sketch silhouettes that obey the vein rather than fight it — the design follows the marble, not the other way around.
Rough cut
A diamond saw releases the rough form. We cut conservatively — leaving enough material for the artisan to negotiate with as the inner stone reveals itself.
Hand shaping
Chisel, file and rasp work. Two to twenty hours, depending on the silhouette. This is where the object stops being a shape and starts being itself.
Seven-grade polish
Wet-sanded by hand through seven progressive grits. The final pass is by palm — a craftsman's signature that no machine can replicate.
Sealing
Food-safe natural wax penetrates the stone. It deepens the colour, locks the vein, and gives the surface a quiet, low-glare sheen.
Studio approval
Every piece is held, weighed, inspected against the light. If it passes, it's numbered and signed under the base. If not, we start again.
A small library of marbles we love.
We work primarily with seven natural stones. Each has its own personality — and its own way of moving with light.
Calacatta Rosa
Italy
Warm rose veins on milk-white ground.
Travertine Clay
Tuscany
Soft pitted earth tones, matte by nature.
Verde Alpi
Italian Alps
Deep forest green, marbled in white.
Rosa Portogallo
Portugal
Dusty pink with quartz crystal flecks.
Bianco Statuario
Carrara
The classic — graphite veins on snow.
Rosso Levanto
Liguria
Burgundy ground laced with cream.
Verde Guatemala
Central America
Sage and emerald, ocean-quiet.
Pink Onyx
Iran
Translucent — glows from within when lit.
